Petty Theft. 22 year old Caucasian male, 5’6”, was caught on camera stealing medical grade urine from a lab. As he was leaving the premises, he was frisked and searched, resulting in the recovery of the item. The suspect was defensive but aloof when detained, leading the Loss Prevention Officer to suspect some kind of use. Following a quick scan of his driver’s license, it was confirmed and the suspect was on parole. While in custody, the suspect denied any theft, leading to a routine search to look for additional stolen items. An understanding was reached by the suspect and the Loss Prevention Officer, and he was released without involvement of law enforcement. $10.00 retail value recovered to the lab without incident.
